EME is a Nonprofit Organization and human venture, powered by dreamers and believers in this world of uncertainty. This expedition is a cause in itself, a cry to say, "How far can one woman go?"

Ellen is gaining nothing but the experience itself and the opportunity to share this story with others, and perhaps inspire people for the better.

Many people who have done source to sea descents of a river will tell you that when they got to salt water, they felt the pull of the ocean. Ellen rowed the entire Mississippi River and it dropped her off in the Gulf of Mexico. It was time to get a bigger boat.
